SidePinch® Clamp Testimonial: BioE's 3-Bag Processing System

When we developed our 3-bag processing system, we found the SidePinch Clamp from The Next Phase to be our only alternative. Should we be in a position to utilize an alternative clamp, the SidePinch clamp allows immediate flexibility to be used in our system. The SidePinch Clamp side loading feature saves us costly production reruns.

During qualification testing, we ran a batch of SidePinch Clamps (SPCs) through our rigorous shipping study. The study included shake/vibration and extreme temperatures. The SPC passed cleanly with every unit tested. Our testing included a 400 x g centrifugation force. The SPCs remained intact and retained the ability to close and cease flow during sample processing. We are very pleased with the product.

The SidePinch Clamps are CE Marked and readily available for any of our production facilities in the US and internationally.

SidePinch® Clamp Testimonial: Emiko Medical's Broken Clamp Replacement Kit

“The SidePinch Clamp product is very well accepted in our European market because of the following.

Normally when customers have to replace a broken clamp they must remove the luer lock on the catheter extension line. Now, with the SidePinch Clamp, the removal of the luer lock can be avoided. With the replacement kits most companies offer for standard catheters, when replacing a luer lock the catheter can be permanently damaged making it unsafe to use and requiring replacement of the entire catheter.

With the addition of the SidePinch Clamp to our product the luer lock connection now can be left in place - the connections on the catheter are not damaged and the catheter does not need to be replaced.

Some doctors/nurses commented they were very concerned that the clamp would come off as easy as it is placed. However we assured them by proving that a closed clamp will not come off the line. The only time it may come off rarely occurs when the clamp is in the open position (during treatment). This is not an issue as the line SHOULD be open during delivery of therapy while nurses are attending the patients. During further testing we found and recommend that it is even better to leave the ID-tag on the extension of the catheter to optimally position the SidePinch Clamp. This definitely avoids displacement of the SidePinch Clamp.

The catheter replacement cost savings the SidePinch Clamp provides negates any inconvenience that the rare open clamp fall-off during therapy could cause.”
